Why I founded SCC
I founded SCC to give organizations in the region access to experienced, practical support. In my experience, good projects rest on three things: a clear plan, the right tools and people who trust one another.
My background
I'm Tom Whitton, owner of Social Construct Consulting, which I have run in Fort St. John since 2017. My career spans finance, information technology, public life and non-profit operations, and that range is what I bring to every engagement.
I understand how decisions are made in government and in business, how to put the right systems behind a project, and how to keep the people involved informed and on side.

- Information Technology Manager and Culture, Heritage and Language Manager, Doig River First Nation, 2022 to 2026, including the community's move to fibre internet at close to 1 Gbps
- Negotiations, consultation and campaign work across local, provincial and federal politics
- A background in financial services with Scotiabank, CIBC, North Peace Savings & Credit Union and BMO

- Led business digitization projects totalling over two million pages

Tracker Contracting
My team runs social media for Tracker Contracting in Fort St. John. LinkedIn posts go out twice a week and are cross-posted to Instagram. We keep their photo library and manage both Google Business Profiles.

My own venture: a daily feed of trending products and gift ideas for families, supported by a set of tools I built to find new products early and publish across the site and social channels.
