Work / Find It First
Case study: Find It First
Find It First is my own venture. It helps families find trending products and gift ideas before everyone else does. I started planning it on October 3, 2026, and the first posts went out October 14. I use it to test the tools and methods I bring to client work.
A small team of AI assistants
Find It First runs on a handful of AI assistants. Each one has a single job, and I check and approve the work.
- Scouting. Scans for trending products every day and checks that each one is in stock on amazon.ca, with the right price and seller.
- Affiliate links. Finds the program that pays for each product, builds a tracking link, tests it and keeps every link in one list.
- Content. Writes the scripts, builds the videos and images, and posts them.
- Engagement. Likes and replies to comments on the Find It First accounts every day.
- Operations. Keeps track of sales, money and admin.
Routines run on a schedule: a daily product scan, Facebook product posts at noon and 6 PM, a daily sales check, a weekly reorder of the Linktree and LinkedIn drafts on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Nothing goes on LinkedIn until I approve it.
Linktree and short links
The Linktree goes in every bio. The top link is a search of the whole Find It First site, and under it are single product links. Every week those get reordered so the most-clicked products sit at the top. The website also has short links that send people straight to the product. Each post puts the short link on its first line and the Linktree on its second.
Affiliate programs
Find It First never posts a plain retailer link. Every link is a tracking link, so each sale is credited.
- Amazon.ca Associates is approved and earning.
- Awin and CJ have both approved Find It First as a publisher.
- Applications in progress: KiwiCo and Indigo through CJ, and InnovaToys through Awin.
- Next: Rakuten, which opens up brands like LEGO Canada and Well.ca.
Applying to new programs is part of the work. Each new approval means more products we can recommend and get paid for.
Short videos, built in house
The videos are built with my own scripts instead of paid editing apps. The graphics, AI voiceover and background music are all generated. Each video is vertical and runs 26 to 60 seconds. One video goes out to Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok and X at the same time. Single-product posts use 4:5 still images.

What this means for your business
I use the same setup for clients: AI assistants that handle the routine work, links that track every click, and short videos made without an expensive production budget. You get more done for less money, and I still check everything before it goes out.
