Our kids are our future.
As parents we need to lay the foundation for their success. We need to be role models and make sure we pave the pathway to success for all children.
The world is changing. The schooling that we had in the past likely won't work today. We need to adapt to technology and embrace different modes of schooling without abandoning core principles of excellence in education.
For our kids, on every level, We need to celebrate achievement. Every student is successful in their own way. Celebrating successes of our young people is important to set them up for success in the future.
We must prepare Canada's youth for tomorrow's challenges.
Transparency
Lesson plans, and programs the school district Is considering adopting should be open for review. Feedback should be encouraged, from all sources.
Parents Matter
Parents Matter:
A child's first and primary teacher, lies with their parents. We need to empower all parents to be actively involved in education, and not just at ages 1-5.
Communication
We need to communicate and empower parents, Parent action committees, and schools. Communicating is only the start, we need to action bold and innovative ideas to better our children's future.
